History Begin

1976

On July 23, An Giang Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 73/QD-76 to establish An Giang Foreign Trade Company - ANGIMEX.

In September 1976, ANGIMEX officially came into operation.

1979

The company changed its name to An Giang Import-Export Union Company, headquartered in Long Xuyen town, An Giang province.

1982

Establish Delivery Station in Ho Chi Minh City (now It is Ho Chi Minh City Branch).

1988

Change its name to Union of Import-Export Company of An Giang Province.

ANGIMEX was allowed to do direct export business by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Affairs.

1991

Contribute capital to establish ANGIMEX – KITOKU Joint Venture Company.

1992

Change its name into An Giang Import-Export Company.

1998

Establish the first authorized agent of Honda Vietnam.

2000

Establish the second authorized agent of Honda Vietnam.

2006

Establish the third authorized agent of Honda Vietnam.

2007

ANGIMEX contributed capital to SAGICO Co., Ltd for doing retail business through the supermarket system.

2008

ANGIMEX officially converted into a joint stock company.

Establish a safe Rice Factory. Jasmine Chau Phu rice brand is introduced to the market with the cooperation between ANGIMEX and Saigon Co.op.

Open of Service and Maintenance Center authorized by Honda.

2009

An Gia and Muc Dong rice brands of ANGIMEX were launched to the domestic market.

ANGIMEX introduced two tools to support farmers: Calculation Software of Rice Production Efficiency and Text Message Service for making quotation to buy raw rice.

2010

Open the service of Honda ANGIMEX Center “Exchange old car for new car”

ANGIMEX was the exclusive distributor of Dasvila microbiological fertilizer products in An Giang market.

2011

Open of Angimex Trading – Service Store in Thoai Son District, An Giang Province.

Commence construction of Angimex Binh Thanh Rice Processing Complex in Thoai Son District, An Giang Province.

Angimex opened its Head Office at 01 Ngo Gia Tu, Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province.

The General Meeting of Shareholders decided to make more businesses trading in rice seeds and production, trading in plant protection drugs.

2012

Rice sales agents of Angimex (through cooperation between Angimex and business households) started operations and reached at 80 agents by the end of 2012.

Open a rice store at Angimex's Head Office (No. 01 Ngo Gia Tu, Long Xuyen City, An Giang) to support consultancy for agents and customers.

List 18,2 million shares with stock code AGM on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.

2013

Angimex rice shop in Ho Chi Minh City officially came into operation at 137 Tran Binh Trong, District 5.
